Our Vet Practice History

Salmon Creek Veterinary Clinic began under the leadership of Dr. Robert Stewart, who founded and steadily grew the practice. As the clinic flourished, Dr. Stewart designed and built our current building in 1991, creating a welcoming space that allowed the practice to better serve the growing Salmon Creek community.In April 1996, Dr. William “Bill” Cleveland purchased the practice and continued to build on its reputation for compassionate, community-oriented veterinary care. For nearly two decades, Dr. Cleveland served the Salmon Creek area with integrity, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to helping pets live healthier lives.

On May 31, 2014, Dr. Polly Martin and her husband purchased the clinic and began a new chapter in its story. With over ten years of experience in both large and small animal practice, Dr. Martin saw an opportunity to put down roots in the Salmon Creek community she loved. Her vision was to carry forward Dr. Cleveland’s legacy of family-centred service that clients had come to know and love, while expanding the clinic’s services to include modern, comprehensive pet wellness, preventative care, diagnostics, and surgery.

Today, Salmon Creek Veterinary Clinic remains proudly independent and locally owned. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional, community-focused veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout Vancouver and the greater Clark County area.
