Veterinary X-Rays & Imaging
At Salmon Creek Veterinary Clinic, we use advanced X-ray and imaging technology to provide a clear picture of your pet’s health. These tools allow our veterinarians to see beyond the surface, helping us diagnose injuries, detect illnesses, and evaluate internal conditions with accuracy and care. Whether we are assessing bone fractures, identifying foreign objects, or monitoring organ health, our pet imaging services are designed to give your pet the most precise treatment plan possible. With compassionate handling and a focus on comfort, we ensure every scan is as stress-free as possible for your furry family member.
Digital X-Rays in Vancouver
As part of our commitment to provide you with the best medical care for your pet, we have invested in a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine. There are many important advantages to digital animal X-rays:
- Digital X-rays are viewed instantly on a computer screen.
- Clear, detailed images can be adjusted for better visibility of bones and organs.
- Faster processing means less time on the X-ray table and less stress for your pet.
- Quicker results reduce waiting time for you.
- No harsh chemicals are used, making it safer for staff and the environment.

Getting Lab Tests for Your Pet
Laboratory testing can provide information about your pet’s overall systemic health as well as detect diseases and other conditions affecting your pet’s health and well-being without the need for invasive and expensive procedures. Pet diagnostic laboratory testing at our Vancouver office is also completed prior to dental or surgical procedures that require general anesthesia.
Need an X-Ray?
Veterinary Ultrasounds
Ultrasound is a painless, safe, non-invasive procedure that produces a real-time moving picture of your pet’s organs, allowing your veterinarian to see objects that cannot be detected by X-rays alone. It is one of the many ways we strive to give you peace of mind regarding your pet’s health.
- Abdominal organs
- Pregnancy and fetal development
- Heart function and structure
- Masses or tumors
- Fluid buildup in chest or abdomen
- Intestinal obstructions or issues
- Gallbladder, lymph nodes, reproduction organs and more
Ultrasounds For Cats & Dogs
At our Veterinary Office in Vancouver, veterinary ultrasound procedures take between 30 to 60 minutes to perform. If an ultrasound is necessary during a surgical biopsy, it does not typically require sedation for most pets. A diagnosis based on what we see is usually available immediately, which means we can also provide you with treatment options at the time of your appointment and minimize your worry and stress.
